...Mr Curtis, 45, who is a senior storeman, said: "It's been great the response we've had. 'It's really nice to see so many people take time out to come and help. 'The more people who sign up, the better the hope for Jasmine.' Jasmine was born with no immune system and so is constantly at risk of infections and viruses. Her only hope of a normal life is a bone marrow transplant. Among those touched by her plight was Andy Clark, a hydraulics engineers for BAE Systems, who joined the donor register yesterday. Mr Clark, 31, from Leigh Park, said: 'I really wanted to do something to help. 'My dad had a blood transfusion when I was younger and so I know it's important to sign upup to be any sort of donor.' Tony Boyce, 31, a radiation monitor for the MoD, was also keen to sign up and help Jasmine. 'It's a great cause,' said Mr Boyce from Copnor. 'I just want to see if I can help.' As reported in yesterday's paper, our sign-up session at Portsmouth Guildhall on Tuesday was a huge success with nearly 300 people turning out. The naval base also drew in the crowds with nearly 80 people joining the donor register. One session took place at BAE Systems at the base and the other at the occupational health centre, which was organised by Derrill Evans, a occupational health nurse advisor. She said: 'Mark came to me and asked for help and of course I said yes. Once you've seen a picture of Jasmine, you just want to do all you can."
"We are dealing with de facto foot-dragging. There is one investigator assigned to this case."
