Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths intercepted a SUV and arrested five suspected drug peddlers after a brief exchange of fire in morning. "During investigation we recovered a 0.3 bore revolver and eight live cartridges. We also recovered 26 kilograms of heroin from the bags that they had kept in the vehicle. As for the injured in the firing, some police officers were also injured and they were admitted to the hospital by our team." said Suresh Arora, Additional Director General Police- Intelligence Wing, Punjab Police
The initiative comes under the foundation's programme of creating a pan-India network of 150 schools in the next five years. "We will start classes at the pre-nursery and Class I (level) in the coming academic session in April. The foundation has already established 18 schools in Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and other states. In the next five years, we intend to set up 150 schools across the country" Aditi Roy Nandi, the principal of the school, said today
