Biography for Mohamed ElBaradei

• 1962 Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Cairo
• 1974 Doctorate in International Law at the New York University School of Law

• 1964 Worked for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign affairs, where he served on two occasions in the Permanent Missions of Egypt to the United Nations in New York and Geneva.
• 1980 Senior Fellow in charge of the International Law Program at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.
• 1984- Senior Member of the IAEA Secretariat
• 1984-1993 IAEA's Legal Adviser
• 1993-1997 IAEA Assistant Director General for External Relations
• 1997- Director General of IAEA
• Led the team of UN weapons Inspectors in Iraq along with Hans Blix
