Quotes

"Receiving this award was for me both a surprise and a delight. I'm very pleased that it recognised my work, and in particular the application of machine learning (AI) in the area of computing systems, as important and significant" Christophe said
"This award will certainly help to raise my profile as a researcher. I expect it will open more doors and help me to reach people and engage with them. In fact I'm going to the USA next year for a six-month visit in industry to work on a project related to my dissertation area" he added
...Fan Zhang said: "I am very delighted to be the first thesis from York to be shortlisted. I tried to write the thesis in a way to make it accessible to a wide readership, and being shortlisted confirms this. On the other hand, being shortlisted for the competition shows my PhD research, helped by endless suggestions from my supervisor Professor Hancock, was worth the long hours of working and effort. Also having our ideas being appreciated by others pleased me most."
