Japan hails US stance on Burma

Japan's Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama has hailed Washington's latest efforts to engage Burma.

After talks with the leaders of Southeast Asia's five Mekong River nations, Mr Hatoyama said America's greater interest in Burma will benefit the Mekong region as a whole.
