WASHINGTON - The Beltway consensus, aka the conventional wisdom, has turned on President Barack Obama.

Pundits, including me, are stressing his flaws and mistakes. So now is the time for me to get ahead of the crowd again and suggest that perhaps he actually knows what he's doing...
