...and carefully integrated marketing campaigns, as well as the development and performance of NT operators in delivering world class experiences. "The results are indicative of our commitment to the local tourism industry and our most recent marketing efforts to promote Darwin have performed exceptionally well through increased preference and intention to visit the NT Ms Harding said. 'Results from the Darwin campaign are impressive, as are the early indicators from our current Global Red Centre campaign across key international markets. 'Partners such as Qantas and Jetstar have reported strong sales with thousands of bookings for NT holidays, while Australian travellers spent thousands of hours on a special Yahoo!7 digital site to experience the very best Darwin has to offer.' The Roy Morgan study was commissioned following the Darwin campaign and when asked to associate powerful emotional drivers with each Australian State and Territory, Australian travellers ranked the NT as the most unique, adventurous, spiritual, inspirational and lifechanging holiday destination. 'At a time when discerning travellers are seeking more value and meaning from their hardearned annual leave, their ranking of the NT as the most spiritual, unique, adventurous and life-changing destination in Australia is a compelling and powerful endorsement of our spectacular natural and cultural landscapes,' she said. 'It is also indicative of our strategy to shift with changing media consumption habits and to be flexible and responsive to changing consumer needs and wants.' Tourism NT's Darwin campaign broke new ground through a unique partnership with the Seven Media Group, during September and October across Australia's eastern seaboard."
In its response to the draft determination Qantas said "the viability of four weekly Jetstar services would be uncertain" and downplayed IASC assertions that QF could easily boost Fiji capacity, via its codeshare with Air Pacific
